Lake Atitlan is an energetically charged, 50 square mile, crater lake located in the western highlands of Guatemala. Surrounded by majestic volcanoes and cultural Mayan villages, Lake Atitlan is the perfect place to disconnect, explore, and open your heart and perspective to what could be. This is the place to lead your Guatemala Yoga Retreat! 

At a mile high in altitude, warm days of tanning, swimming and outdoor adventuring, are followed by cool nights in flannels by the fire, or relaxing in the wood-fired sauna & hot tub. Nourish your body with locally grown fruits and vegetables, daily fitness classes, and plenty of opportunity to play on the lake, or in the stunning mountains. If you prefer activities on your yoga retreat, we’ll be volcano hiking, sunrise paddle boarding, horseback riding, and adventure zip-lining. Certainly, there’s ample opportunity to connect with and enjoy this incredible land.

When you aren’t immersing yourself in nature, there’s plenty of Mayan Culture to soak in! Lake Atitlan is surrounded by several towns, all accessible via public and private boat, each unique and worth exploring. Don’t miss out on textile shopping in San Juan, the people watching in Panajachel, cliff jumping and swimming at the nature reserve in San Marcos, or ceramics shopping in San Antonio. We can also arrange optional excursions where you can partake in traditional Guatemalan cooking and weaving classes, or add on Mayan Fire Ceremonies, Cacao Ceremonies, or Sound Baths for your group. 

Our unique and well thought out Guatemala Retreats start with an overnight in the cultural and beautiful city of Antigua, and then spend the remaining 6 nights at one of two retreat centers on the crater of Lake Atitlan. We include 2 adventure and cultural driven excursions, as well as plenty of free time to dive into yoga and fitness programming, schedule additional excursions, or just unplug and enjoy the lake life!
